The Nordhavn 71 is a new fiberglass motor yacht built for long-range cruising without requiring crew. At 71 feet with a beam of 22 feet, she sits in the upper mid-size range while maintaining the aesthetic and engineering standards of Nordhavn's larger models. Twin John Deere diesel engines rated at 498 horsepower provide her power. The hull was developed using Nordhavn's in-house Computational Fluid Dynamics program and will be built to CE Certification standards for offshore capability.
The yacht is offered in two accommodation layouts: either three staterooms with a sky lounge, or four staterooms. Both configurations include five heads. The design incorporates larger windows than previous Nordhavn models, a spacious owner's cabin, an expanded dining area, and improved lighting throughout. Thoughtful space planning maximizes usable area within the compact footprint.
Interior finishes are individualized rather than standardized. The specification includes a furniture credit, allowing owners to select their own chairs, dining table, pillows, and other furnishings to suit personal taste. This approach balances quality control with customization. The yacht will be constructed at Nordhavn's Ta Shing facility in Taiwan, where their 68 and 76 models are also built.
