The SX230 is a 23-foot bay boat built on a composite hull and powered by a single 250-horsepower Yamaha engine. It combines fishing-focused design with family-friendly capability, built to handle shallow water and open water with equal competence.

The layout prioritizes angler needs throughout. Seventeen vertical rod holders are distributed across the boat, while dual baitwell systems provide 36 gallons of total capacity—a console unit with 14 gallons and a rear unit with 22 gallons, each equipped with fill, recirculating, and timer functions. An insulated front starboard fish box keeps catches fresh, and a retractable boarding ladder simplifies water access. The console features Yamaha 6Y8 multifunction gauges for monitoring engine and system performance.

Hardware and steering reflect practical coastal use. Seastar hydraulic tilt steering offers responsive control, while the 8-inch setback plate optimizes the motor's relationship to the transom.
