The 2026 Sportsman Open 262 is a 26.5-foot center console built on a modern fiberglass hull powered by twin 400-horsepower Yamaha engines. The boat combines fishing capability with day-cruising comfort, featuring dual side-entry doors that open fully for unobstructed access to the water. A feature-rich fiberglass hard-top provides shade and integrates navigation lights, speakers, and rod holders, while the integrated tempered glass windshield with vent offers protection at the helm.
The helm is outfitted with comprehensive electronics as standard: Garmin GPSMAP 1243xsv multifunction display with sounder, Apollo RA770 premium stereo with SportTuun, VHF radio, compass, and SeaStar Interact digital switching. The console includes lockable storage, USB and 12-volt charging, and a 68-quart cooler seat. Wireless phone chargers and JL Audio speakers with amplifiers round out the electronics package.
The cockpit layout prioritizes fishing, with twin 30-gallon pressurized aquarium livewells at the transom, three macerated in-deck fish boxes, and an array of rod holders across the gunwales and hard-top. The boat includes dual premium helm seats on a fiberglass leaning post with tackle storage, bow bolsters and cushions with removable filler board, and a rear fold-down seat. Freshwater and raw water washdown systems are fitted throughout.
The hull uses advanced fiberglass construction with a solid stringer system—no wood—and all stainless fasteners, backed by a 10-year warranty. A 160-gallon fuel tank with level sensor supplies the engines. Additional features include freshwater and trolling motor battery storage, underwater lighting, and Seakeeper Ride stabilization.
