The 46 Billfish is a 46-foot sportfishing yacht built on a fiberglass hull and powered by twin MAN diesel engines delivering 1,700 total horsepower. Designed for both owner operation and professional captaining, the boat combines serious fishing capability with comfortable cruising accommodations in a straightforward, maintainable package.
The 140-square-foot cockpit dominates the working deck, featuring laminated in-deck mounting plates, a bait freezer, insulated fish boxes with overboard drainage, a transom fish box and live well, rod holders, tackle storage, and fresh and saltwater washdowns. Two mezzanine-style seats flank a center walkthrough with a lift gate. The flybridge centers on a tournament-style helm with power-assist hydraulic steering, a teak helm chair, and additional seating to port and starboard. The enclosed command deck provides a climate-controlled salon with a U-shaped lounge, hi-lo table, and rod storage.
Below, the cabin includes an air-conditioned stateroom with high-gloss teak cabinetry and custom flooring. The galley features an L-shaped Corian countertop, two-burner electric stove, microwave convection oven, and under-counter refrigeration with ice maker. The head includes a walk-in shower with satin nickel fixtures and a Corian-topped vanity. Two bunks on the port side serve as primary berths, with a forward stateroom offering a queen bed and flat-screen entertainment.
The hull employs a modified vinylester resin with end-grain balsa and closed-cell foam coring for strength and light weight. The integral fuel tank is resin infused with balsa coring. The engine room features Snow White Awlgrip for visibility and maintenance ease, with a centerline hatch for engine access. Class S propellers, bronze struts, and a fire suppression system tied to main engine and generator ignitions complete the engineering package.
