The Wellcraft 28 Explorer is a 28-foot center-console built on a stepped fiberglass hull designed for speed and stability across varying conditions. The hull employs W.I.S.E. Technology—Wellcraft Infujection Structure Engineering—which creates a lighter, stiffer, and stronger platform. Developed in partnership with Navia, a specialized stepped-hull designer, the hull planes quickly and runs efficiently with reduced spray. The boat powers through six gasoline outboards and achieves speeds exceeding 50 knots with responsive handling.

The layout prioritizes safety and usability with a one-level walkaround deck, oversized handrails, a dive door, and high bulwarks. The closed transom and durable construction reflect both American styling and European refinement, reinforced by an NMMA certification. The distinctive Z-line silhouette defines the Explorer's modern appearance while supporting its practical design for extended trips or day outings alike.
