The Back Cove 372 is a redesigned 37-foot downeast yacht built on the proven foundation of its predecessor, which logged over 200 hulls during an eleven-year production run. The new generation incorporates a decade of owner feedback and modern design improvements while preserving the classic character of the original. The hull measures 13.25 feet in beam and is constructed of fiberglass.
Power comes from a single Volvo diesel engine rated at 600 horsepower, paired with a 24-volt DC electrical system engineered for efficiency and reduced weight. This configuration supports optional bow and stern thrusters. The helm station features a black windshield liner and upholstered pod design to reduce glare, with fixed-glazed pilothouse windows replacing sliding units for improved sightlines. A center-opening windshield with updated operating hardware is standard.
The cockpit layout includes a new aft-facing seat to starboard with folding armrest and drink holder, complemented by a salon door to port and bi-fold window above the seat. Below deck, the head has been reconfigured with expanded medicine cabinet storage, a sizeable over-sink mirror, and a redesigned shower stall. The yacht accommodates one head and is built to modern cruising standards.
