2027 Canados 411 Gladiator Carbon Series
About This Yacht
The Canados 411 Gladiator Carbon Series is a 42-foot high-performance monohull built for speed and efficiency. Rather than relying on large inboard V8 engines, it is powered by twin Mercury Racing 450R outboards with Speedmaster lower units, allowing it to approach 100 mph while offering easier maintenance and better fuel economy than conventional fast boats of comparable size. The hull and deck are constructed from custom-woven carbon fiber and Kevlar epoxy in a double-stepped design, keeping the total weight to 8,800 lbs—approximately 30 percent lighter than competing boats in its class.
The layout prioritizes driver comfort and control with five X-Craft mitigation seats rated for rough water running. The helm features a central 22-inch Garmin display paired with two 9-inch digital Vessel View screens, eliminating traditional analog gauges. The steering wheel is repositionable from port to starboard, allowing operation as either a two-person race configuration or single-handed cruising setup. Hardware throughout uses titanium and forged carbon for cleats, with anodized aluminum for other accessories, and includes custom LED-illuminated grab handles designed specifically for the boat.
Weight management governed every detail during development, with equipment positioning maintained to a tolerance of just 2 inches to preserve proper weight distribution and center of gravity. The result is a capable, lightweight platform engineered for sustained high-speed running with the structural rigidity and impact resistance needed for serious performance use.
