2027 Catamaran Cruisers Island Hopper

The 2027 Island Hopper is a 40-foot catamaran built with composite construction using resin-infused core methods and epoxy resin, with carbon reinforcement in high-load areas. Twin 38-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines power the boat, which features a wide 21-foot beam that supports a stable, light-displacement hull designed to minimize slamming in rougher conditions.

The layout centers on open deck space ideal for cruising or entertaining. An aft steering console positioned at the boat's centerline provides 360-degree visibility. Forward of the main crossbeam sit two large trampolines and a seating area. Two C-shaped bars with refrigeration and additional seating are located on deck, creating flexible entertaining zones.

Below deck, the boat offers three cabins and two heads for overnight comfort. The rig includes a self-tacking jib with halyards and reef lines led to the mast, and a choice of traveler or bridle-style main sheet configuration. The high bridge clearance and light weight contribute to a motion-reducing design well-suited to extended cruising or day use in varied conditions.
