2027 Ocean Explorer Catamarans 78
About This Yacht
The Ocean Explorer 78 is a 78-foot performance catamaran built from composite materials with twin 300-hp Yanmar diesel engines. Designed by naval architect Germán Frers, the boat combines Scandinavian design principles with high-performance engineering. The beam of 37 feet and shallow draft enable both speed and access to shallow-water destinations, while the hull shape delivers the volume and comfort typical of much larger monohulls paired with the stability and efficiency of a catamaran platform.
The 78 accommodates six cabins and six heads, with a layout that can be customized to four, five, or six-cabin configurations depending on owner preference. The standard arrangement includes a spacious master cabin and VIP cabins throughout, all finished with attention to detail. The layout is engineered for operation by a crew of three to four, with generous entertaining and living areas distributed across the deck.
The yacht's design emphasizes performance and comfort in equal measure. The efficient hull form carries the lines established in Ocean Explorer's smaller 62 and 72-foot models. Built by craftsmen in the Jakobstad region of Finland, the 78 is constructed to navigate extended offshore passages and exploration voyages while maintaining the refinement and livability expected in a premium cruising platform.
