The Slyder 55 is a new-build hybrid catamaran designed for performance cruising. Built from aluminum with GRP and carbon-composite construction, the hull features crash boxes at the bow and aluminum-carbon fiber bulkheads. The boat measures 57.74 feet in length with a 26.90-foot beam and is equipped with twin 57 hp diesel engines plus twin 20 kW electric motors, backed by approximately 30–40 kW of battery capacity. Additional power comes from a 3,800-watt solar panel array. The catamaran carries an aluminum mast with electric furling for the self-tacking jib, electric primary winches, and an electric captive winch for the mainsheet, along with GRP/carbon/epoxy daggerboards.
Interior layouts are available in either three cabins with three heads and a dedicated owner's suite in the port hull, or four double cabins with four heads for maximum flexibility. The salon includes an induction cooktop and combination oven/microwave, electric heads, plus refrigerator and freezer. Standard equipment features a full navigation package with plotters, radar, AIS, and autopilot, along with Oceanair blinds and Hydra Net sails plus a Code D sail.
The boat carries dual 3.3 kW battery chargers and twin 6 kVA inverters to support the hybrid system. Additional options include an extended salon and the SLY-Lounge for the bimini. This build is offered as a new construction opportunity with full sail-away specification included in the base price.
