The Windelo 54 is a blue water cruising catamaran built for long-distance voyaging. Designed by Christophe Barreau and Fréderic Neuman, this 54-foot cat features extended hulls—nearly 1.2 meters longer than the Windelo 50—that enhance both performance under sail and comfort in heavy seas. The added length translates to more usable deck space around the nacelle and significantly increased room throughout the living areas and storage.
The boat sleeps up to six across three cabins and includes two heads. The expanded interior provides generous accommodation and storage space designed for extended cruising away from land.
Power comes from two electric engines paired with solar panels and a substantial battery bank. The system incorporates hydro generation, allowing the batteries to recharge underway, supporting extended cruising range. This electric propulsion system minimizes environmental impact while maintaining practical autonomy for ocean passages.
