1892 Herreshoff Gaff Schooner

Archangelo is a gaff schooner built in 1892 by Nathanael Herreshoff, the legendary naval architect. At just over 41 feet long with a beam of roughly 10 feet, she combines the design refinement of her era with a distinctive double bow that sets her apart. The wooden hull is powered by a single Perkins diesel engine adapted by Volvo Penta, producing 39 horsepower. In 1983 she received a major refit at Eurovoiles in Hyères, France.

The schooner handles easily and sails well, responsive enough for single-handed sailing yet capable enough to compete in regattas. Her interior is spacious and well-equipped, with one head and accommodations that blend practical comfort with classic styling and materials befitting her age and heritage.
