This 94-foot steel-hulled icebreaker was originally built in 1896 and has since been adapted into a modern houseboat. The hull has weathered more than a century of service, beginning as a combined icebreaker, cargo ship, and tugboat. The boat was later salvaged and rebuilt as a tanker, then converted again into a charter vessel with cabins and common areas created from the original fuel bunkers. A full refitting was completed in 2017, which merged and modernized the common spaces and bridge.
The boat measures 29 meters in length with a 5.4-meter beam, providing substantial interior space. Accommodations include two heads and multiple cabins and common areas throughout. The layout reflects past conversions and recent renovations that unified formerly separate zones into a cohesive living space suitable for extended cruising or entertaining.
Power comes from a single Volvo Penta diesel engine producing 300 horsepower, paired with a generator. The combination consumes approximately 5 liters of fuel per hour at a 7-knot cruising speed, making the boat economical to operate. The steel construction and proven engineering make this a capable and seaworthy vessel. Recent dock service was performed in June 2023.
