Built in Maine in 1929 to a design by Albert Condon, this 32-foot classic lobster cruiser is a wooden-hulled example of coastal workboat tradition. Powered by a 120-horsepower Ford diesel engine, she was built for Maine cruising and has logged nearly a century of service. Her longevity speaks to the soundness of her original construction, which has prompted successive owners to restore and maintain rather than replace her.
In 2012 the boat underwent major structural work: many frames were sistered with new fastenings, the transom was fully replaced, the stem was repaired, and the fore peak ceiling was completely renewed. The interior was subsequently rebuilt to a high standard by a professional yard, featuring varnished trim with fiddles, custom cabinetry throughout, new furniture, doors, drawers, and lockers. The galley includes an icebox, butcher block countertops, and a stove. A new ABYC-compliant holding tank system and head compartment were installed. The pilot house incorporates additional storage drawers beneath long bench seats.
Accommodation sleeps three to four between a V-berth and two long benches in the cabin; the bench seats incorporate hidden framed slats that extend to widen them into sleeping berths. The cockpit and house provide seating for seven to eight, with additional cabin seating below. Ventilation and lighting are excellent throughout. Original bronze hatches feature screens, and the entire house can be enclosed with canvas for privacy and airflow. Deck prisms provide natural light below.
Electronics installed in 2019 include a Garmin 740S touchscreen chartplotter, Standard Horizon VHF radio with AIS, and depth sounder. The boat has one head.
