1966 Grand Banks 32 Sedan

This 1966 Grand Banks 32 is a classic semi-displacement trawler built by American Marine Ltd., the builder behind one of the most respected pocket trawlers ever produced. The wooden hull features carvel planking with a full keel and protected running gear, paired with a teak superstructure and decks. A single Ford Lehman 120 hp diesel engine drives the boat at a cruising speed of 7 knots with exceptional fuel economy, delivering a range of 600 to 800 nautical miles.

The yacht has undergone comprehensive restoration between 2023 and 2026. The hull was professionally refinished, brightwork stripped and restored to yacht quality, and decks restored and sealed. Mechanically, the engine was fully serviced and optimized, with fuel, cooling, and steering systems inspected and renewed. New hoses, clamps, belts, and batteries were installed as needed. The electrical wiring was updated, and navigation electronics were upgraded. Bilge and plumbing systems were renewed throughout.

Interior spaces include a forward V-berth stateroom, an enclosed head with shower, a traditional teak salon with lower helm station, and a functional galley on the port side. The teak interior was restored to show condition, with new or refreshed upholstery, renewed headliner and soft goods, and a refinished cabin sole. The boat sleeps three to four and features excellent natural light and ventilation throughout.

At 32 feet overall with a beam of 11 feet 6 inches and a draft of approximately 3 feet 10 inches, the Grand Banks 32 handles efficiently at low speeds and offers the feel of a much larger vessel. Fuel capacity is 150 gallons, fresh water 75 gallons, and holding tank 30 gallons. The yacht is equipped with 12V DC electrical systems and 30-amp shore power.
