1984 Bayfield 32C

This 1984 Bayfield 32C is a 32-foot fiberglass sloop designed by Ted Gozzard and built in Ontario. The "C" variant features a tall mast—approximately 4 feet higher than the standard 32—which improves light-air performance and allows the boat to reach 6 knots on a beam reach without excessive heeling. Single-hand capable and responsive in varied conditions, she combines 1980s racer-cruiser design with practical cruising accommodations.

Power comes from a 21-horsepower Nani Kubota diesel engine with a 2-year-old installation. The boat cruises at 5 knots and carries twin forward roller furlers plus a gennaker sail for downwind work. Recent deck work includes new standing blocks, and the cockpit features self-tailing winches all renewed, a teak table, and teak stern seats. LED strip lighting runs port and starboard. Two anchors are included.

Below deck, the galley has a new 3-burner stove and air fryer oven. A Frolie system is installed under the forward V berth. Refrigeration, water heater (12-volt), and bilge pump are all new. Waterlines were replaced a year ago, as was the water pump. Interior fabrics and cushions were renewed in 2023, with new LED lighting throughout. Electronics and stereo are recent additions. Both forward sails feature UV protection with blue covers.

The boat includes either a timber cradle or a combo steel cradle and trailer for transport. Freshwater only throughout her history.
