1945 Custom Robinson - Aviator

This 1945 Custom Robinson Aviator is an 85-foot wooden motor yacht originally built as a World War 2 rescue vessel. The boat was never commissioned for service and has since been converted into a cruising yacht. A fiberglass bottom was installed during a major refit in 2008. The yacht is powered by twin Detroit 12V-71 turbo diesel engines.

The layout comprises two cabins and four heads. The upper deck features a spacious pilot house with excellent sightlines and comfortable seating. Below, the accommodations include a full-beam master cabin with two heads and a marble tub, a lower den, a salon with fireplace, a galley, crew quarters with head, and an aft bar lounge with head. The boat is furnished throughout with period-appropriate pieces.

The yacht's superstructure includes a roof terrace on the upper deck, originally conceived as a helipad but now configured as outdoor space. The sturdy wooden hull and robust systems reflect both the vessel's original construction and the extensive modernization completed in 2008.
