This is a 1951 Mälar 25, a classic wooden sailing yacht with a mahogany hull and spruce deck. The boat measures 32 feet 10 inches in length with a 7-foot 2-inch beam. It has been fitted with an Epropulsion electric motor for auxiliary power. The hull carries 12 coats of varnish applied in 2024, providing both depth of finish and protection. Chrome fittings were fully restored in 2024 following earlier work in 2016 and 2017.
The rigging was renewed in 2017 with new backstay, forestay, and all four shrouds in 6 mm diameter. A complete new rudder was installed the same year. The boat carries a full suit of North Sails from 2018, comprising mainsail, jib, genoa, and a 40 square-meter spinnaker. A new full cover was added in 2023, with an additional used cockpit cover included.
The interior was fully rebuilt in 2023 and offers two berths with the capacity to expand to four, along with a galley and storage cupboard. The boat comes with a Harbeck road trailer built in 2016, rated for a total weight capacity of 3.5 tonnes.
All restoration work is documented, spanning comprehensive refits in 2016–2017 and 2024 that covered the hull, rigging, sails, interior, and fittings.
