1957 Sparkman & Stephens K35

This 1957 Sparkman & Stephens K35 is a classic wooden sailing yacht of refined design. The boat underwent extensive restoration work between 2013 and 2020, addressing both structural and mechanical systems. Below the waterline, planks were refastened, the stem knee and forefoot were replaced, and the mast step was rebuilt. The deck and cabin top were fiberglassed, new main and forward hatches were installed, and the toerail and lifelines were renewed.

The yacht's mechanical systems received comprehensive updates. A Beta 25-horsepower diesel engine powers the boat, supported by a new fuel tank, exhaust system, propeller, and shaft. Electrical systems were rewired with a Blue Seas panel. Navigation and communication equipment includes a Maretron Nema 2000 system with DSM display, AIS, Raymarine GPS chartplotter, and Standard Horizon VHF radio.

The boat features one head and accommodates cruising sailors with a traditional layout. A new mainsail from Carol Hasse completes the standing rigging package. The yacht is equipped for serious offshore and coastal sailing with modern electronics integrated throughout while maintaining the character of a mid-twentieth-century design.
