1963 Rybovich 45 Convertible

This 1963 Rybovich 45 Convertible is a wooden plank-on-frame sportfisherman built during the golden era of the legendary West Palm Beach builder. Hull #54 carries the hallmarks of Rybovich craftsmanship: premium mahogany construction, soft and responsive running characteristics, and a design proven for Gulf Stream fishing. The boat spans 45 feet with a 15-foot beam and is powered by twin Cummins 6CTA 8.3-M3 engines rated at 430 horsepower each, logged at 4,141 hours. A Northern Lights 16kW generator runs 1,585 hours.

The classic convertible layout centers on a spacious cockpit fitted with a fighting chair, cockpit table with four rod holders, and five rocket launchers. Below deck are two staterooms, galley, head, and separate shower. The salon remains the gathering space typical of boats from this era. A 2025 bridge enclosure with Isglass and EZ2See windows shields the helm.

Recent updates include a complete interior retrofit with new flooring, cabinetry, and quartz countertops. The galley received a Thor refrigerator, Samsung microwave, and Empaya two-burner glass cooktop. Two Marine Air 16,000 BTU air conditioning units were installed in 2025. A Hotpoint chest freezer sits in the cockpit. The boat carries Furuno 12-inch GPS, Starlink, Icom VHF radio, and a JL Mediamaster 100s stereo system with dual 800-watt amplifiers, eight speakers, and two 10-inch subwoofers. SeaDeck flooring covers the bridge. Running gear includes dripless shaft seals and recent bottom paint and prop speed work from 2025.
