This 1965 steel trawler is a North Sea expedition yacht built by Van der Molen in the Netherlands and originally used in commercial fisheries. From 2004 to 2007, the boat underwent a comprehensive conversion to yacht standards overseen by Floor Kersten. The work included stripping and rebuilding all machinery, electronics, plumbing, wiring, and interior systems. Hull plating was replaced as needed above and below the waterline, and the pilothouse was reconstructed in aluminum to reduce weight.
The yacht accommodates five cabins and five heads. The interior was rebuilt in steel and finished with cherry and mahogany throughout, creating a traditional offshore-capable cruising platform. Naval architecture and exterior design are by Pieter Beeldsnijder Design, with interior design by Luro Enkhuizen.
The boat is powered by a single 580 horsepower Mitsubishi diesel engine, delivering a cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum speed of 11 knots. At 78.67 feet in length with a 19.17-foot beam, the yacht is built for stable, long-range voyaging in demanding offshore conditions.
