2004 Selene 62

The Selene 62 is a 68-foot fiberglass trawler designed by Howard Chen with Ken Freivokh interior design, built in 2004. Twin 430-horsepower Cummins diesel engines deliver a cruising speed of 10 knots with a maximum of 12 knots. The hull is constructed with vinylester resin for the first five lamination layers, Cook gelcoat throughout, and reinforced with five watertight bulkheads. The boat carries 7,570 liters of fuel and 2,270 liters of fresh water, with two onboard watermakers capable of producing 500 liters per hour combined.

Four cabins and four heads accommodate six guests plus crew. The owner's cabin features a private entrance, double island berth, office desk, and en-suite with bathtub and shower. The forward VIP cabin and port guest cabin each have double berths with en-suite heads, while crew quarters provide an additional twin cabin with shower facilities. The galley is equipped with Siemens appliances including a dishwasher, oven, ceramic cooktop, Sub-Zero refrigerator-freezer, ice maker, and trash compactor.

Power and systems are comprehensive. Two generators (20kW Northern Lights and 8kW Mastervolt) support 24 AGM batteries, Victron chargers and inverters, and six 300-watt solar panels plus two 600-watt wind generators. Electronics include Garmin GPS, 24-inch XHD3 radar, autopilot, and depth sounder all updated in 2023, plus Thuraya satellite communication and engine room monitoring cameras.

On deck, three helm positions span the main helm station, flybridge, and aft deck. The boat carries two tenders: a 4-meter dinghy with 40-horsepower Tohatsu engine and a 2.3-meter dinghy with Suzuki 2.5-horsepower engine. Additional equipment includes dual Maxwell mooring winches, 600-kilogram hydraulic crane, bow and stern thrusters, Wesmar fin stabilizers, and comprehensive ground tackle with dual anchors and 250 meters of chain.
