This 1967 Hinckley Bermuda 40 is a fiberglass sailing yacht measuring 40.75 feet in length with an 11.75-foot beam. Built with solid hand-laid fiberglass reinforced in stress areas, the hull features an external lead keel with bronze centerboard and a deck set permanently to the hull via a 6-inch flange. The yacht carries a 46-horsepower Westerbeke diesel engine with a 2:1 reduction gear, delivering a cruising speed of 6.5 knots. The engine was rebuilt in 2005 and currently shows 2,900 hours.

Accommodation comprises a private owner's cabin with V-berth forward, a dinette arrangement in the main salon with a double and two single berths, a galley, and a navigating area. The interior features Herreshoff-style design with white bulkheads, varnished mahogany trim, and a teak and holly sole. A single head with electric toilet, vanity, and shower serves the crew. The cabin and galley have ample storage throughout, with bronze ports providing natural light.

Equipment and systems are comprehensive. Navigation electronics include a 2018 Raytheon color radar and chartplotter, Standard Horizon VHF, autopilot, depth and wind instrumentation, EPIRB, and AIS. The yacht has a Panda 4.2 kW generator with 700 hours, reverse-cycle air conditioning, Seafrost refrigeration, and hot water heating via engine and 120-volt heater. Electrical infrastructure includes a 380-amp-hour house battery bank, 50-amp shore power with converter capability, and dual inverters. Deck equipment includes a Lewmar electric windlass, stainless steel pulpits and stanchions, and a dinghy with 5-horsepower outboard.

The yacht carries a full complement of sails—main, mizzen, genoa, and asymmetrical spinnaker—with Harken roller furling and Lewmar winches. Varnished teak detailing and recent updates in 2023 to the dodger, bimini, genoa, and bottom paint maintain the traditional character of the design. The boat is equipped with an AB dinghy and extensive safety gear including fire extinguishers, life rings, and an emergency tiller.
