The Stuart Knockabout is a fiberglass interpretation of L. Francis Herreshoff's classic 1932 design, built as a spacious, shallow-draft daysailer. The 28-foot boat combines easy handling with responsive performance across varying wind conditions, featuring a moderate rig, open cockpit, and uncluttered deck layout. Its sleek hull design delivers both agility and speed, making it equally suited to solo sailing, cruising, or competitive racing.
Built in 1997 by Edey and Duff, this Knockabout carries sail number 53. The deck rigging has been customized by the owner for improved ease of use and accessibility. She comes equipped with a roller furler jib, a mainsail, a Genoa, a mainsail cover, and a custom winter cover, plus a trailer.
The boat has been meticulously maintained and remains in very good condition throughout.
