1972 Grand Banks 55 Alaskan

The 1972 Grand Banks 55 Alaskan is a heavy displacement, long-range cruiser built for serious passagemaking. One of only 12 examples constructed, this yacht stands apart as the sole A55 fitted with a factory-installed flybridge from the builder. The 55-foot wooden hull measures 17.5 feet at the beam and is powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines rated at 450 horsepower combined, delivering a cruising speed of 8 knots.

Three cabins and three heads provide accommodation suited to extended voyages or comfortable entertaining. The boat was kept in a boathouse for much of its history, which helped preserve the structure. The yacht is presented ready for cruising.
