The 1989 Californian 55 Cockpit Motor Yacht is a fiberglass cruiser built on a proven design, known for its rakish flush-deck profile and commanding presence. Twin Detroit 6V92TA diesel engines, each rated at 550 horsepower, were completely overhauled in 2019 with fewer than 20 hours of running time since that work. The yacht is equipped with a Kohler 20kW diesel generator, bow thruster, trim tabs, and stabilizers for comfortable passage-making.
Below deck, three separate staterooms and three full heads with individual shower stalls provide accommodation for extended cruising. The forward stateroom sleeps two, as does the guest stateroom aft of the main salon, which features a pull-out settee. The aft stateroom also sleeps two. The salon and dinette offer additional sleeping capacity through a convertible arrangement. Teak cabinetry and woodwork throughout the interior complement quality fabrics and furnishings. A washer and dryer are fitted for convenience.
The galley is fully equipped with a full-size refrigerator and freezer, microwave, stovetops, and garbage compactor. An aft salon wet bar adds to the entertainment spaces. The yacht carries a full electronics suite including Furuno GPS chartplotter with radar overlay, autopilot, lower helm station, and controls for the windlass on both deck and helm. A 45-pound Bruce-type anchor with chain rode is installed.
Topside, the aft deck is spacious and suited to entertaining, with a Bimini and full enclosure. The flybridge offers excellent sightlines and room for a helm. Marine air conditioning with three zones, heating at the helm and aft salon, and a central vacuum system round out the systems. A davit crane is mounted for tender handling.
