This 1973 Bertram 28 Flybridge Cruiser is built on a fiberglass hull and powered by a single Mercruiser Horizon 350 with 300 horsepower, freshly cooled. The engine was installed in 2001 as part of a professional re-power that included raising the cockpit deck to accommodate the larger powerplant. Current hours on the engine are 282.
The boat retains its original configuration and layout, having avoided significant structural or design alterations beyond the re-power itself. In 2023, the chartplotter was updated to a Garmin UHD2 74SV. The hull received fresh bottom paint and was sea trialed in fall 2026, performing well during trials. The engines have been compression tested and the boat de-winterized.
Since the current owner took delivery in November 2022, the engines and onboard systems were professionally inspected and tested, with any defective or compromised components replaced or updated. Documentation for all work completed since that time is available.
