A classic Maple Leaf 48 designed by Stan Huntingford and built by Cooper Yachts, this 48-foot fiberglass sloop offers proven offshore capability with a fiberglass hull featuring closed-cell foam core and modified fin keel. Powered by a Ford Lehman 120 diesel engine with a cruising speed of 8.5 knots, she also carries an 8-kilowatt Onan generator for backup power and is equipped with a bow thruster, RC Plath windlass, and a 40-gallon-per-hour watermaker for extended cruising independence.
The boat accommodates three cabins across a practical layout: an aft cabin with queen and single berths, a pilot berth opposite the engine room, and a forward stateroom with two single bunks. Two heads with VacuFlush systems serve the accommodations. The galley features a NorCold refrigerator, deep freezer, two-burner cooktop, induction cooktop, convection microwave, Instant Pot, and disposal. The spacious salon with open plan and generous storage seats six comfortably, with air conditioning ducted forward.
The electrical system reflects extensive recent investment: ten Battleborn 100-amp lithium batteries paired with two AGM start batteries, a Victron Quattro 5000-watt inverter, and four solar panels totaling 1540 watts with dedicated Victron controllers. Two 150-gallon fresh water tanks and 450 gallons of fuel capacity support extended cruising. Ground tackle includes a 33-kilogram Rocna anchor with 300 feet of G4 chain and a Fortress FX-55 storm anchor with 100 feet of chain and 200 feet of nylon rode.
Recent upgrades span 2021 through 2024, including new standing rigging, mast work, bottom paint, prop shaft, dripless seal, keel reglass, house systems, and engine service components. The teak swim platform with walkthrough transom door and enclosed fuel tank in the keel complete the package.
