1974 Sabre Mark I

The 1974 Sabre Mark I is a 28-foot fiberglass sloop built for performance cruising and club racing. Known for strong sailing characteristics and classic design, this boat combines traditional hull construction with practical systems for coastal work. The rig features a roller-furling genoa, working jib, mainsail, and two spinnakers, all managed through an easy-handling roller-furling system for single-handed sailing.

Below deck, accommodations include a V-berth forward, salon seating with interior dinette, enclosed marine head, and galley with stove and refrigerator. Teak interior finishing adds warmth throughout. The Universal Atomic 4 gasoline engine has electric ignition and recent updates to the freshwater strainer, inline fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, and wet exhaust hoses.

Navigation and safety equipment comprise a Raymarine autopilot, GPS, and VHF radio. The hull was last bottom-painted with Black Widow. A bimini shade cover is included, along with a custom winter cover and cradle. The boat is structurally sound with cosmetic wear appropriate to its age, and original manuals and surveys are on file.
