1982 Ontario Yachts Etchells

The 1982 Ontario Yachts Etchells is a competitive one-design keelboat built to the strict specifications that define the class. At 29 feet long with a 7-foot beam, this fiberglass hull was built by Ontario Yachts, the North American manufacturer of choice for the Etchells since 1976. The boat carries the classic features of the design: a fractional sloop rig with tiller steering, fixed fin keel, and approximately 291 square feet of measured sail area plus a 400 square foot spinnaker.

The inventory includes three complete sets of North sails—main and jib combinations—with several appearing new or barely used, representing a significant equipment package. The boat also comes with a North spinnaker. Synthetic rigging is fitted throughout.

The bottom is fair and ready to race, with freshly polished topsides. A trailer is included with the boat. The Etchells class operates under strict one-design rules, meaning a well-maintained boat from 1982 races on equal terms with newer examples, provided maintenance and tuning are kept current.
