1977 Ranger r28TM

The Ranger 28TM is a proven 28-foot fiberglass race cruiser built for both competitive sailing and comfortable cruising. She draws 5 feet and has a hull speed of 6.24 knots, powered by an Atomic 4 engine with electronic ignition and fuel pump. The boat benefits from recent upgrades including new standing rigging, a Harken roller furler, a two-blade feathering propeller, and fresh bottom paint. Steering is handled by an Autohelm ST2000 autopilot, with backup via emergency tiller.

The deck layout prioritizes sailing efficiency, with all running rigging led aft, a Garhauer boom vang and traveler system, jib track, and spin pole. Twin primary and secondary winches plus cabin top winches handle sail trim, with halyard clutches for ease of operation. The sail plan includes a Pentax main, Pentax 155 genoa, and Dacron 130 spinnaker.
