Sourdough is a 1977 C&C 29 masthead sloop built on her keel in fiberglass. Recognized for strong sailing characteristics, she combines good lines with practical layout suited to both cruising and club racing. The boat is powered by a 30 hp Universal inboard gasoline engine with a two-bladed bronze propeller and 15-gallon fuel tank.
The interior offers six feet of headroom throughout the teak-trimmed cabin and accommodates five berths: a double in the forward cabin, quarter berths, and settees. The removable center table in the main salon can be stowed to open up the space. The head sits between the forward cabin and main salon with a toilet on the port side and a vanity with sink and storage on the starboard side. The galley is located at the companionway steps and includes a sink, top-loading ice box, and a gimbaled four-burner stove with oven. A navigation station is also fitted.
The sailing inventory includes North mainsail with two reefs, North 100 percent working jib, North 135 percent jib, a 155 percent Mylar genoa, and a gennaker cruising spinnaker. Hardware includes Barient winches, an Edson wheel steering system, and a new head foil. Deck layout features a self-bailing T-shaped cockpit with dual lifelines, stainless steel transom swim ladder, and aluminum toe rail with teak handrails.
Standard equipment encompasses dual 12-volt batteries, 30-amp shore power, 20 gallons of pressure water, VHF radio, depth sounder, knot meter, compass, and cabin lighting. Safety gear includes life jackets, fire extinguishers, life ring, and manual bilge pump. The boat comes with a four-pad steel cradle with new pads, winter cover, two-person dinghy with oars, and manuals.
