A 1978 Hinckley Bermuda 40 MKIII with a fiberglass hull, this 40-foot sloop is powered by a 40 hp Westerbeke diesel engine. The boat features an electric stowaway main and electric centerboard system. Recent exterior work includes a repaint with vivid red hull and oyster white topsides, new teak decking, and new canvas. Brightwork and varnish were completed in October 2025.
The interior layout includes two cabins and one head, with a custom open design. Recent interior updates encompass new cabin and cockpit cushions, new bedding, interior varnish, and ceiling paint. A new Dometic VacuFlush head and 14-gallon holding tank were installed, along with a new shower sprayer and solar vent.
From 2020 through 2025, extensive systems work has been completed. The electrical system has been overhauled with corroded wires replaced throughout. New sails include main, jib, and spinnaker, along with new mainsheet, jib furling line, and spinnaker halyard. Navigation electronics are new: a Garmin chartplotter, NMEA 2000 network, GMI/GNX wired sail package, AIS, a Garmin GMR24XHD 24-inch 4KW radar installed in 2023, and cockpit gauges. Additional updates include a new centerboard cable and hydraulic ram mechanism, raw water pump, fuel and water fill hoses, fuel line, bilge pump, windlass switch, hatch covers, portholes rebedded, and new dodger, bimini, fenders, and covers.
