This 1978 Kalik 33 is a fiberglass offshore cruiser that has undergone substantial structural renewal. Displacing approximately 12,500 pounds with a 4,500-pound cast iron keel and 1.98-meter draft, the hull and deck were both recored with closed-cell foam and new fiberglass, the hull-keel joint was re-caulked, and the interior woodwork was completely rebuilt in teak. The teak deck was removed, and the hull has been VC-tarred and finished with protective coating.
The boat is powered by a single 22-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine that has been rebuilt twice, and features new batteries and a new water filtration system. One winch requires servicing. The standing rigging is oversized for offshore use with one shroud replaced, and the boat carries an original North Sails inventory. A new Raytheon autopilot was installed. The existing electronics package has been retained.
The cabin interior is structurally renewed with all woodwork rebuilt. Cushion patterns have been completed and are ready for fabrication, though no cushions are currently installed. New side windows were installed, and a new winter cover is included. The deck would benefit from fresh nonskid paint. A 22-horsepower Yammer diesel powers the boat.
