1978 Uniflite 50

This 1978 Uniflite 50 is a fiberglass-hulled explorer yacht built for serious cruising and commercial operation. Powered by twin Volvo Penta D8 diesel engines producing 900 horsepower and paired with ZF transmissions featuring trolling valves, the boat achieves a comfortable cruising speed of 18 knots with a maximum speed near 24 knots. The robust commercial construction reflects its working history as a fishing vessel, with a 50-foot length and 15-foot beam providing substantial volume and seaworthiness.

Accommodation includes one main cabin with a newly configured seating layout, two marine heads, and sleeping space for up to 12. Additional interior spaces provide flexibility for storage, crew quarters, or operational purposes. One lazarette remains insulated and outfitted as a fish cooler, suitable for high-capacity fishing operations. The layout supports both charter and expedition use.

In 2020, the yacht underwent a major mechanical retrofit that modernized its propulsion and transmission systems.
