1980 Catalina 30

This 1980 Catalina 30 is a 30-foot fiberglass sloop built for coastal cruising and day sailing. The boat features a 10.83-foot beam and is powered by a 20-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine installed around 2008, which was serviced in September 2025 and runs well. The standing and running rigging are in good condition, with a furling genoa and mainsail equipped with a lazy-jack system for easy single-handed operation. The traveler and backstay function smoothly.

The cabin offers practical accommodations with a V-berth featuring a new 36-inch 4K television installed in 2024, plus additional berth cushions that combine original and newer replacements. The galley has a two-burner electric stove and two manual-pump sinks. An 18-gallon freshwater tank, functional marine head, and electric cabin lighting with modern LED fixtures updated in 2023 support comfortable extended use. Cabin electrical systems received upgrades in 2024, including new GFI outlets for safety and a new stereo with cabin and deck speakers.

The electrical system includes two batteries replaced in 2024 with a selector switch, a newer fuse panel, operational running lights, and functional VHF radio. The bilge pump operates in auto and manual modes with a new float switch installed in 2024. Navigation includes a functioning depth gauge, though the speed/distance gauge lens is cracked. The fuel tank was inspected in 2024 and remains in good condition. Deck hardware includes four lifelines with three in good working order, spreader lights, and an anchor with approximately 30–40 feet of chain, though the anchor rode requires replacement. Four new dock lines and a deck-mounted propane grill are included.

Safety equipment aboard includes five adult and one child life jacket, three fire extinguishers replaced in 2023, flares, and a U.S. Coast Guard–approved horseshoe buoy new in 2024. Service manuals, upgrade documentation, and maintenance records are included with the boat, along with assorted spare parts and a shore-power cable.
