The Ocean Alexander 50 Mark I is a proven pilothouse design built on a 50-foot fiberglass hull with a 15.5-foot beam. Powered by twin Cummins diesel engines producing 540 horsepower, the boat is equipped with twin screws and a hydraulic bow thruster for capable maneuvering in confined waters.
The layout includes three cabins and two heads, offering comfortable accommodation for cruising. The pilothouse is enclosed, and a flybridge provides additional outdoor space. A 12.5kW Onan generator supports onboard power needs, while an Espar diesel furnace handles heating. Climate control is enhanced by fin stabilizers, which reduce rolling and improve comfort underway.
Additional equipment includes a Magnum inverter for DC power conversion, AIS sending and receiving capabilities for navigation, and aft-mounted solar panels that supplement the electrical system. The boat is set up for extended cruising throughout the Pacific Northwest.
