This 1997 Navigator Classic 53 is a California-built pilothouse motor yacht designed for comfortable coastal cruising and liveaboard use. The raised-pilothouse design combines spacious interior volume with excellent helm visibility and a broad aft salon. Twin Volvo Penta TAMD63P diesel engines rated at 370 hp each deliver cruising speeds around 15–18 knots and a top speed near 20–23 knots. The modified V-hull with 15-foot beam and integral swim platform provides stable, easy-riding performance suited to West Coast waters.
The interior layout centers on liveaboard comfort, with three staterooms—a full-beam master amidships, a forward VIP cabin with queen berth, and a guest cabin with bunks. Two heads each feature separate stall showers. The galley sits forward in the main salon, which opens through double doors to a generous cockpit. A U-shaped dinette occupies the pilothouse, and the flybridge offers wraparound seating. The accommodation plan delivers substantial interior volume for a 53-footer, with wide side decks and easy movement throughout.
Systems include a SidePower bow thruster, updated RayMarine navigation electronics, a Kohler 13.5 kW generator with low hours, and three separate 16,000 BTU air-conditioning units serving the forward cabin, pilothouse, and salon. The 20-gallon hot water heater supports the liveaboard systems. Fuel capacity is 600 gallons, with 170 gallons fresh water and 70-gallon holding tank. An 800-pound davit and cradle mounted aft on the flybridge launch a 2021 Caribe 13'2" center console tender with a 50 hp Yamaha outboard engine.
