The Marine Trader 50 is a 50-foot fiberglass trawler built for extended cruising and comfortable living aboard. Powered by twin Lehman diesel engines producing 240 horsepower, she cruises at 8 knots with a top speed of 10 knots. The boat features a three-stateroom, three-head layout with teak-paneled, hand-carved interiors throughout.
The main saloon is expansive, with a port settee and starboard companionway leading aft to the largest stateroom. The galley forward includes a large refrigerator, dishwasher, oven with cooktop, bar seating with a passthrough to the salon, and helm access. The mid-ship and forward staterooms are reached via the forward companionway. A full-width flybridge above carries an upper helm station, grill, and generous seating area.
Recent upgrades include new carpet in the salon, updated aluminum fuel tanks, a new port engine, new transmissions and couplers, a new waste tank, and rebuilt black water plumbing. All three heads have been rebuilt with y-valves, and a new air-conditioning pump has been installed. The boat offers a solid foundation for ongoing customization and improvement.
