1981 Tartan 37

A 1981 Tartan 37 designed by Sparkman & Stephens, this fiberglass sloop combines timeless proportions with proven sailing qualities. The hull is finished in white and presents well overall. She carries a keel centerboard design, allowing access to shallow anchorages and gunkholing opportunities typical of cruising grounds like the Chesapeake Bay. A 2017 Beta Marine 38 hp diesel engine with 22 hours of run time provides propulsion, paired with a three-blade folding propeller.

The boat accommodates two cabins and one head. The galley and head have been updated with new sinks, fixtures, and countertops as of 2024. Cabin sole, port lights in the head and forward cabin, and a new dodger and sail cover have all been installed recently. Running rigging was replaced in 2019.

Recent systems work includes new house and engine batteries, new wiring in the mast, and new navigation instruments as of 2025. Carbon monoxide detectors were added in 2025, and life lines were replaced in 2022. The boat is ready for sailing.
