1982 C&C 40

The 1982 C&C 40 is a performance cruiser and PHRF racer built on a fiberglass hull with a centerboard design that draws only 5 feet when raised. Powered by a 30 hp Yammer diesel engine, the boat cruises at 6 knots and reaches 8 knots at speed. The centerboard configuration offers shallow-water capability while maintaining the responsiveness expected of the C&C design.

Below deck, the boat accommodates two couples or a family with children. It features a propane stove, hot water heater, pressure water system, and shore power connection for comfortable cruising. New Garmin instrumentation and new cushions throughout have been recently installed.

The boat carries a complete sail plan including a furling jib, racing jib, and two spinnakers. Original documentation from first launch remains on board. The boat was freshwater-kept on Lake Huron until three years ago and is currently in the water.
