1985 Catalina 25

This 1985 Catalina 25 is a swing-keel sloop built for accessible cruising and day sailing. The boat features a pop-top cabin that opens up the interior space, a standard rig with mainsail (one reef point) and a 150 genoa with furling gear, and an 8-horsepower Honda 4-stroke outboard for auxiliary power. Rigging is configured for both at-mast and cockpit operation, and the boat carries a Sunbrella bimini awning, mast cover, and genoa cover for weather protection.

Accommodation includes two settee berths, a stern berth, and a bow berth, providing sleeping for up to six. The galley has a gimbled alcohol stove, a 16-gallon water tank with hand-pump sink, and storage. A 14-gallon waste tank and head are installed. Navigation equipment includes a cockpit compass, depth gauge, and knot meter.

Recent work on the boat includes re-bedded ports and windows, a rewired mast with new lights, a new electrical panel, and new cabin and cockpit cushions. Two new 12-volt batteries and a dual-bank 12-volt battery charger have been installed, along with a new marine radio. A Trail-Rite tandem-axle trailer with a 6,000-pound maximum load capacity is included; it has repacked wheel bearings, new lights and wiring, new brake lines with inspected shoes, and a reconditioned surge brake actuator.
