This 1985 Endeavour 42 is a fiberglass center cockpit sloop built for serious cruising and comfortable living aboard. The boat features a bowsprit forward and a functional swim platform with ladder on the stern. Power comes from a Cummins 4B3.3 diesel engine rated at 65 horsepower, installed new in 2016 with fewer than 200 hours of running time. The engine is fresh water cooled and paired with a new driveshaft, coupling, and transmission fitted in 2020.
The boat has been substantially upgraded and maintained over recent years. The cabin sole was fully replaced in 2017, as were the water and fuel tanks. The forward head features a new Jabsco pump installed in 2023. A new custom full enclosed cockpit with Stratoglass was added in 2022. The teak has been refinished as of 2025. An electric windlass with remote control operates from the cockpit. Two new 8D 200-amp-hour AGM batteries were installed in 2021, and the motherboard and thermostat controls were replaced in 2022.
Additional equipment includes 60-watt solar panels and a three-piece sectioned full boat cover for winter protection. The chainplates were redone in 2016 and inspected in October 2020, with all stainless steel, through-deck, and bulkhead-mounted components found to be in good condition. The boat holds USCG certification.
