This 1985 Grand Banks 42 Motor Yacht is a classic fiberglass trawler designed for extended cruising. Twin Ford-Lehman turbocharged diesel engines produce 160 horsepower each and have logged approximately 3,560 hours, with fuel consumption averaging 3 to 3.5 gallons per hour at a cruising speed of 8 to 9 knots. An Onan 8-kilowatt generator supplies auxiliary power, with all original fiberglass hull and superstructure complemented by teak decks, transom, cap rails, and brightwork finished to a high standard.

The boat accommodates two cabins with two heads. The master stateroom spans the full width aft, featuring a queen berth, ensuite head with shower, and extensive storage. A forward cabin houses a V-berth with vanity and hanging locker. A forward head with shower completes guest facilities. The galley sits to port in a U-shaped layout, allowing an open main salon with lower helm station to starboard. The main salon features an L-settee, dining area, and large sliding windows throughout.

The flybridge offers extensive seating with the upper helm station, fwd- and aft-facing bench seats, an L-settee, and a teak table on a stainless pedestal. Navigation equipment includes a Raymarine E-120 multifunction display with chart and radar capability, depth sounder, VHF radio, and GPS. A fold-down aluminum mast with spreaders accommodates a 4-foot radar scanner and running lights. Ground tackle comprises custom bronze anchor rollers, a vertical windlass with both-helm controls, and two anchors with appropriate rode.

The hull received professional blister treatment in 1993—the bottom was peeled, heated, and dehumidified, then coated with advanced polyester barrier coat and bottom paint, with no subsequent blistering. Coolant hoses were replaced in 2007. The boat has been stored under cover during winter months for extended periods, and the teak decks remain in very good condition. Two sealed 8D batteries, a three-bank smart charger installed in 2014, and fresh-water rinse systems for main engine and genset heat exchangers support reliable operation.
