1985 Silverton 40
About This Yacht
This 1985 Silverton 40 is a fiberglass sedan bridge cruiser powered by twin Crusader engines producing 350 horsepower. The boat reaches a maximum speed of 18 knots and cruises comfortably at 11 knots. It measures 40 feet in length with a 14-foot beam, providing substantial deck and interior space across multiple levels.
The layout flows from an aft deck with generous seating for entertaining, up to a flybridge with a single helm station that leaves the main salon uncluttered and spacious. The salon features the full beam width and multiple entry points. Forward of the salon lies a galley to port with a two-burner induction cooktop, convection oven with microwave, and refrigerator. A dinette to port seats six and can convert to sleeping berths. The master cabin aft includes a walk-around bed, en suite head, hanging lockers, and storage. A guest head and forward cabin complete the sleeping accommodations, with the forward cabin featuring convertible pantry storage. The boat sleeps up to six overall.
Recent upgrades include rebuilt engines in 2018 and 2019, complete house wiring and bilge pump replacement in 2021, installation of four alkaline batteries also in 2021, electrical panel conversion from 30-amp to 50-amp service in 2023, new through-hulls and seacocks throughout, and fresh navigation equipment including depth finder, gauges, and Garmin radar installed in 2021. A new port manifold was fitted in January 2025. Smart home automation includes Alexa-compatible lighting throughout and a Google Home system monitoring aft HVAC temperature.
