1986 Dyer Hardtop

The 1986 Dyer 29 Hardtop is a classic Down East cruiser built by The Anchorage Inc in Warren, Rhode Island. Powered by a 320-horsepower Yammer diesel engine, the boat cruises at 15 knots with a maximum speed of 20 knots. Her long keel and rounded chines deliver a dry, comfortable ride across varying sea conditions. The extended hardtop provides weather protection and generous headroom throughout.

The single cabin includes a V-berth with filler for sleeping, a small galley, and an enclosed head. The large cockpit features a custom table suitable for entertaining. The helm stations showcase custom-crafted teak seats, with additional teak and mahogany trim visible throughout. Bronze steering wheel and vintage bronze hardware add traditional character.

In 2020, the boat underwent extensive work at Dyer Boats: the engine and fuel tanks were replaced, new Awl-Grit paint applied in dark green with moon dust non-skid finish, and a new PVC spray rail installed. Recent updates include new berth and seat cushions added in 2024. The boat features a bow thruster, Garmin Chart plotter with radar, stainless steel sink with cold water foot pump, and teak handrails on the hardtop. A custom bow sprit with duck figurehead and stainless steel bow rail with pennant staff are installed.

The hull exhibits well-maintained condition throughout, including the bilge areas. White waterways frame the decks and cockpit. The boat has been stored out of the water during off-seasons and maintained to high standards.
