1987 Bristol 41.1 Aft Cockpit

Built by Bristol Yacht Company to Ted Hood's classic design, this 1987 Bristol 41.1 is a fiberglass sloop with proven offshore capability. The boat features a shoal-draft configuration with the centerboard bolted in the raised position, providing a fixed draft of 4'6" well-suited to shallow East Coast and Bahamas cruising. The Westerbeke W52 diesel engine produces 52 horsepower and has logged approximately 625 hours.

The interior holds two staterooms and two heads arranged for comfortable cruising. The salon features satin teak joinery, an air-conditioned cabin cooled by a 16,000 BTU Dometic reverse-cycle system, and galley equipment including a Sea Frost refrigeration unit and three-burner LPG stove with oven. Fresh water capacity is 150 gallons in a stainless steel tank, with 100 gallons of fuel divided between two aluminum tanks.

Navigation and safety systems include a Garmin GPSmap 741xs chartplotter with radar, Standard Horizon VHF radio, Datamarine depth and speed instrumentation, and an Autohelm autopilot. The rig carries a keel-stepped aluminum mast with Hood Seafurl roller furling and six Lewmar winches. Main and genoa sails by Quantum are in good condition. Ground tackle consists of a Lewmar plow anchor with all-chain rode and electric windlass.

Recent work completed in fall 2025 includes replacement of freshwater and raw-water intake hoses, service of all seacocks, installation of fire extinguishers and safety detectors, refinishing of exterior teak, repair of the companionway ladder, electrical upgrades with marine-grade crimped connectors, installation of new transom and engine zincs, and replacement of the starter battery. The electrical system runs 12V DC with 30A shore power input and a 40A TrueCharge charger supplying a 4D house bank installed in 2020–21.
