This 1987 Lyman-Morse Hunt is a 42-foot downeast design built for both performance and comfort. Twin CAT 3126 diesel engines produce 840 horsepower and deliver a cruising speed of 20 knots with a top speed of 30 knots. The fiberglass hull measures 13 feet across the beam, providing a stable platform for serious cruising.
The interior features warm mahogany throughout the cabin spaces. The boat's classic lines and traditional styling combine with practical cruising capability, making it equally suited to weekend getaways or extended voyages.
Recent improvements include new Alexseal paint applied to the cabintop and flybridge in fall 2022. A new flybridge enclosure was also added in 2022, fitted with optical-grade Strata-glass panels that can be zipped out or lifted, designed to provide protection and comfort across varying climates. The twin engines were installed in 2005 and have seen light use according to engine hour records. The boat has been stored undercover since its recent refit.
