1987 Nonsuch Ultra 30

The Nonsuch Ultra 30 is a single-sail catboat design built around practical cruising. The uncomplicated rig has all controls leading to a deep, safe cockpit. The deck layout features wide sidedecks without standing rigging to obstruct movement, high lifelines, and substantial freeboard that sheds water in moderate conditions. A long keel provides directional stability and reduces heel, while the hull design encourages an upright, comfortable motion under sail.

Below, the interior follows an open plan with a private forward double berth, an enclosed head with separate shower stall, and an L-shaped galley positioned for efficient cooking. Seating is generous throughout, anchored by a large folding table suitable for dining or chart work. The 29-horsepower Westerbeke diesel engine provides auxiliary power. The fiberglass hull measures 30 feet in length with an 11-foot-10-inch beam.
