1988 Caliber 38

This 1988 Caliber 38 is a fiberglass sailing yacht with a 38-foot length and 12.25-foot beam. The boat has been substantially upgraded over recent years with new standing rigging, mast wiring inspection, and a fresh mainsail with stackpack installed in 2025. Deck systems include new Lewmar self-tailing winches—two ocean 48 two-speed and two ocean 30 two-speed models—along with a new Tough Track sail track and wind vane. Navigation and electronics have been updated with a new Axiom 12 RXT chartplotter and Raymarine Quantum Raydome radar installed in 2024.

Power systems feature a 400-watt solar array added in 2023, mounted on a new arch that also supports davits for the dinghy. The bottom received new paint in 2022 following soda blasting and barrier coating by the previous owner, and has been cleaned and maintained every six weeks since. The headsail is in near-new condition, and canvas throughout is in very good shape. The shaft seal is dripless.

The Caliber 38 is built to blue-water standards with heavily glassed-in bulkheads, a quad-seal deck-to-hull application, an internal strength-grid system, double-lock chain plates, and triple-support rudder installation designed to handle severe weather. The yacht has two cabins and two heads, making it suitable for extended cruising whether coastal or offshore.
